FREE staged reading . . .
Becky Mode’s
“Fully Committed”
Directed by Mark Stephens
SCHENECTADY – Fully Committed, a modern day upstairs-downstairs comedy by Becky Mode, will be presented as a free staged reading at the historic Stockade District’s Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 So. Church Street, Schenectady, on Sunday, January 3, at 2:30 p.m. One performance only, it is second in a series in celebration of the Playhouse’s 82nd season.
Fully Committed, directed by Mark Stephens, is a very funny play about an aspiring actor working in a high class restaurant answering the phone and taking reservations. He has the lowest job in the place (literally, secluded in the basement), but it puts him in contact with all the restaurant’s rich and influential clients. He takes lots of guff from customers, his boss, and his coworkers, but he manages to leverage his position to achieve his acting goals.
Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free. No reservations needed.
