After School Drama Program Offered by Walking the dog Theater

Posted by Gail M. Burns - February 2010

On Monday, March 8th, Walking the dog Theater will begin its spring term of weekly after school drama work open to high school students in Columbia County and the surrounding region. This term will focus on the art of acting, working toward a performance in May. We will build ensemble skills and deepen the craft of acting, with focus on creating a character. The student ensemble size and interest will decide which play(s) we will develop. The term will culminate in performances on May 13 and 14. Interested students in grades 9-12 will convene at Hawthorne Valley School on March 8th and will meet Mondays 3:00-5:30 at HVS, with additional days to be added later. The group will meet for about 14 sessions (not including break Mondays). The cost of the program is $300. Minimum first payment at registration on March 8th is $50. Contributions beyond the tuition fee are fully tax-deductible and will support the scholarship fund for students in need of assistance. To request a scholarship, please contact WTD before March 8th. The program is limited to 14 participants. Contact: David Anderson (518) 610-0909 david@wtdtheater.org www.wtdtheater.org
