C-R PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES SEASON EIGHT AT COHOES MUSIC HALL

HAIRSPRAY
October 7-17, 2010
HAIRSPRAY delights audiences by sweeping them away to 1960′s Baltimore, where the 50′s are out — and change is in the air. Loveable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, “The Corny Collins Show.” Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program’s reigning princess, integrate the television show, and find true love (singing and dancing all the while, of course!) without mussing her hair?

One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers. Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision.

CABARET
April 7-17, 2011
As the 1920′s are drawing to a close, we are welcomed to a show and assures us that, whatever our troubles, we will forget them. History is in the process of being made. The scene is a nightclub in Berlin.

GUYS AND DOLLS
May 12-22, 2011
Set in mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy – considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy-soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends.
