Citizens for NYSTI

As a public service, I am posting this e-mail I received from the Citizens for NYSTI Listserv. – Gail
Dear Friends and Supporters of the New York State Theatre Institute,
You’ve received this email because WE NEED YOUR HELP!
THE NYS Theatre Institute will no longer exist after the 2011-2012 season if the citizens of New York State fail to take action now.
The reason:
On Tuesday, January 19, 2010, Governor Paterson announced that NYSTI’s annual funding will be cut in half this year and cease to be funded at all from the state’s budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal years.
We understand we must do our fair share, but to reduce NYSTI by 50% this year and down to zero next year is unacceptable.
If you wish to help in the effort to save NYSTI, click the “TAKE ACTION NOW!!!” link below. It will bring you to the Citizens For NYSTI webpage where you’ll see 3 steps which you can take to contact our Governor and Legislators to make your voice heard.
