Puppeteer Matthias Kuchta – Rumpelstiltskin

Feb. 16 – 10:am, 1:pm & 3:30 pm

Matthias Kuchta is a world-renowned German puppeteer stopping at Steamer No. 10 as he tours the world! He plays with almost life-size textile figures on an open stage to present fascinating, witty stories. The actor is always visible, but is unnoticed by the audience until he takes on a role or becomes the narrator or the mediator between audience and the puppets. Yes, at times the puppets leave the stage and play among the spectators, or children become princes or witches on stage, or the audience becomes stormy weather or sunshine. Rumpelstiltskin is suitable for children in kindergarten and elementary school, but also engaging for grown-ups; it is most gratifying when children and adults watch together.

Ventriloquist Steve Charney

Feb. 16 – 10:am and 1:pm

A one-man vaudeville show. Steve Charney, with his wooden assistant Harry, has performed magic, music, jokes, and other forms of comedy through out the US for several decades. His songs have become part of the PBS show The Bear in the Big Blue House. Daniel Pinkwater described Charney as “A scholar of various types of lunacy, and as to his sense of humor, I think it is primitive, juvenile and absolutely perfect.” There is no-one like Steve Charney, you have to see why.

Magician Jim Snack

Feb 17 – 10, 1 & 3:30 pm

The region’s most renowned magician and a master of sleight-of-hand. He does everything from close-up tricks you can watch him from a few feet away, and not be able to figure it out, to stage filling magic.

KoMotion

Feb. 18 – 10:am and 1:pm

KoMotion – a glorious combination of dance, mime & clown theatre. Imagine what can happen when dancers play in black-light with white elastic, or a mime goes to the ballpark.

Music of the Zucchini Brothers

Feb 19 – 10:am, 1:pm & 3:30 pm

Terrific, energetic and fantastic – that’s the band, the show, and the audience! Not your average bunch of vegetables, these terrific musicians bring you their latest songs from Zucchiniland, and a whole lot of your favorite Zucchini Music and fun.
