Cap Rep Seeks Music Director for 2010 STAR Program

Capital Repertory Theatre seeks a Music Director for its Summer Theatre At The Rep (STAR) program.
STAR is a 5-week summer theatre intensive (based on New York State Education Department’s Learning Standards for the Arts) that allows up to 30 area youth (aged 12-18) to explore the world of theatre. Students work with professional artists to develop their own original work, gaining skills in writing, costume design, set design, acting, and singing, and the program culminates in a series of performances offered free to the community. Participants learn to work cooperatively with each other and with professional staff – right in the theatre. The caliber of the administrative and artistic staff ensures that the level of education provided to young people is one of quality and excellence.
STAR 2010 will run Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30pm from July 6 – August 8, with performances Aug 6, 7 & 8th.
