Posted by Gail M. Burns - March 2010

Harlequin, the Massachusetts College of Liberal ArtsHarle student run Musical Theatre Club, will present The Wild Party for its annual spring production Wednesday March 24 through Saturday March 27, at 8 PM in MCLA’s Venable Theatre.

This Off-Broadway Hit, based on the controversial 1928 Poem by Joseph Moncure March, centers on two vaudeville performers caught in a abusive and untrusting relationship. They then decide to throw a party featuring many other vaudeville performers as well as some other shady characters for an intense night of decadence, lust, and violence.
The cast includes Laura Gibson ’10 of Hampstead, NH; Brycen Waters ‘13 of South Glen Falls, NY; and Michael Barry ’11 of Wilmington, MA along with many talented student actors in Harlequin.

The show is directed and choreographed by Michael Geary ’10 of Milford, MA; music direction by Kelsey McCullough ’12 of Worcester, MA; and technical direction by Robyn Warfield ’10 of Forest Hills, NY.

Tickets to The Wild Party are free, but we are accepting donations for a local charity group, and may be reserved by calling (413) 662-5123.
