Fringe Gala Doses Out World Premiere Performances of Theater, Dance and Music July 26

Great Barrington, MA- Exploring artistic innovation and collaboration across disciplines, Bazaar Productions and The Berkshire Fringe will launch their 6th annual season with preSCRIPTED a world premiere evening of theater, dance, music and visual art– all inspired by an original script written by Fringe Co-Artistic Director Timothy Ryan Olson.
preSCRIPTED will be held in the Daniel Arts Center on the campus of Bard College at Simon’s Rock on Monday, July 26 beginning at 6:30pm. A celebration of the rich and varied approaches taken towards the creation of original work, Featured artists include Karen Beaumont, Biped Dance, Kristen Sparhawk, Heather Fisch, Bazaar Productions, Cheryl Mirer Pi Clowns, Terry Wise, Joel Schapira, John K. Lawson – and more!
In addition to highlighting the work of numerous local artists, the celebration continues at 8pm with a dance party, an open bar courtesy of Domaney’s liquors, delicious hors d’ oeuvres courtesy of by Mezze Catering, and a massive not-so-silent auction MC’d by 2010 Berkshire Fringe performer Diana Yanez (Viva La Evolucion)
Bazaar Productions is a volunteer-run nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to the creation and presentation of affordable, cross-disciplinary and dynamic new works of theater, dance and music by emerging artists. The Berkshire Fringe engages new audiences, fosters cultural dialog and delves into traditions underrepresented in the mainstream. All proceeds from preSCRIPTED underwrite numerous free programs, educational opportunities and low ticket prices during the Berkshire Fringe taking place from July 28-August 16.

6:30/7pm: $100 – Includes world premiere performance, champagne toast, artist reception, and access to the 8pm party. Please note that seating for performance is limited and reservations are strongly recommended.
8pm- $50 or $ Pay Your Age – Includes exhibition of visual art, dance party with DJ Hannuman, open bar, delectable edibles, paparazzi Photobooth and not-so-silent auction MC’d by Diana Yanez.
Partygoers are also encouraged to Get in on the Fringe by adding a 2010 Berkshire Fringe season pass to any gala ticket purchase for $75 (Valued at $95).
