[...] Gail Burns over at Gail Sez (link) reports that this show is “excellent…. the strength of van Ginhoven’s direction, the talents of her cast, and top-notch support on the tech side from a pantheon of local experts make this an enjoyable 90 minutes of theatre.“ Juliana von Haubrich has taken Daniel Conway’s beautiful set for My Name Is Asher Lev, which Barrington Stage Company kindly bequeathed to WAM when they rented the Stage 2 space, and remade it into a versatile performance space. For a “small” show “The Attic, The Pearls, and Three Fine Girls” demands a lot of set, and Von Haubrich has created attic, living room, and kitchen areas big enough to allow for Ryan Winkles exuberant fight scenes. (Kudos to Winkles and Cardillo for incorporating a mammoth wedding gown, complete with train, and a large knife into one of the fights without any falls or fatalities!) – Gail Burns [...]
